Description
The salt used in the PURE Sticks+ originates from a natural deposit at the Dead Sea in Jordan, approximately 400 meters below sea level. This unique geological and climatic environment—characterized by extreme dryness, high solar radiation, and an exceptionally pure atmosphere—favors the formation of an extraordinarily pure natural product. The extracted salt is free from industrial or synthetic additives.
Dead Sea salt differs from classic Mediterranean sea salt primarily due to its specific composition of minerals and trace elements. It contains, among other things, elevated levels of magnesium, calcium, potassium, and bromide compounds, which have long been recognized in dermatology for their skin-physiologically relevant properties. The crystal structure is somewhat coarser than that of conventional sea salt.
When showering with the saline water, a hypoosmolar environment is created on the skin. This osmotic gradient promotes controlled fluid exchange in the upper skin layers, thereby supporting the hydration of the stratum corneum and helping to stabilize the skin's barrier function. At the same time, mineral ions such as magnesium and calcium can have a regulating effect on epidermal processes involved in skin renewal and inflammatory reactions, among others.
The fine salt crystals additionally provide a mild mechanical cleansing effect that removes loose horny scales without unnecessarily irritating or drying out the skin. The result is a noticeably smoother, more balanced skin feel.
Due to these properties, the salt shower is suitable not only for daily, natural skin care but also as a supportive therapeutic measure for sensitive and irritation-prone skin conditions—particularly in cases of skin conditions such as neurodermatitis, psoriasis, or comparable chronically dry and irritated skin types.

How long can I shower with a Stick+?
With a Stick+ you shower for around two to three minutes at a recommended water temperature of 37 °C. The individual salt stick is therefore designed for one shower. The length of the shower can vary depending on the line pressure, shower head and temperature.
Can I install the Base+ in any shower?
The Base+ was deliberately designed to accommodate almost all installation situations in conventional showers. Only concealed fittings that do not have a G ½" outlet on the tile surface are not compatible with shower+ products. Can I install the Base+ myself or do I need help from a plumbing professional?

Does the Base+ also work without a Stick+ inserted?
You can shower as usual without Stick+. Your shower routine is important to us! One of the priorities when developing the Base+ was not to change the usual function of your shower.
Is the effectiveness of the salt shower scientifically proven?
Yes, in an indicative product evaluation study by the Institute for Experimental Psychophysiology (IXP) GmbH in Düsseldorf, the improvement in skin appearance and well-being in atopic dermatitis was investigated through the use of shower+ products. Test subjects tested our products over a longer period of time. The participants in the study suffered from acute atopic dermatitis and used the salt shower over a longer period of time. For comparison, a control group followed their usual shower routine without using our products. After each shower, the participants assessed the severity of their symptoms and their physical well-being and documented changes in their symptoms. The results of the measurements consistently showed an improvement.
Is it enough to just shower with salt?
Thanks to regular use of the salt shower, our founder René actually rarely uses creams anymore. And numerous reports from happy customers confirm that creams are rarely or no longer needed.
Where do you produce? Do you make the Sticks+ yourself?
Yes, exactly! We produce the Sticks+ ourselves in Germany and we get the Mediterranean salt we use from a Croatian family business. Next time we'll take you to the salt production facility if you're interested?
Does the salt burn on open skin areas?
Since the salt shower has a much lower salt content than, for example, a classic salt bath, it is also milder and gentler on the skin. Of course, we recommend testing it carefully on open skin areas the first time. But so far, customer feedback has been consistently positive.
Is the salt shower also suitable for babies/children?
Yes, thanks to its mild dosage, the salt shower is also perfect for babies and children.
